Staff: Marbella Oseguera

Marbella was born and raised in the Eastern side of the Coachella Valley. She is a proud Chicana with a passion for child development and family engagement. Education has always been a significant part of Marbella’s life, and she likes to refer to herself as a life-long learner. Fun fact! Marbella is a first-generation college graduate who has pride in her 3 degrees, especially her master’s degree in child development. She also has over 5 years in the education field and has worked as tutor, higher-education mentor, substitute teacher, and a part-time college professor. One of Marbella’s proudest accomplishments is a workshop that she developed to provide parents of teens with a resource to support their teen’s development and promote a positive parent-child relationship.

Aside from her educational pursuits, Marbella also enjoys reading, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with her family and her chihuahua Preciosa. Marbella’s favorite artist is Taylor Swift, and her favorite movie and book genre is romance. If Marbella could use 3 words to describe herself, she would say she is determined, kind, and family oriented. Overall, Marbella is excited to use her education and experience to support families and children in the Coachella Valley.
