Staff: Vicki Bowen Hewes

Vicki Bowen Hewes brings 25 years of business and philanthropy experience to Friends. She relocated to the Valley in 2024, recognizing tremendous beauty alongside a critical need to address deep poverty in the region. She enthusiastically champions the impact of our proven model—breaking the cycle for youth and families through our 'start early and stay' 12-year commitment.

Vicki founded Dress for Success Columbus, building a top-5 global chapter empowering over 15,000 underserved women to achieve economic independence. With 80% of clients being single mothers, she learned the catalyst for generational change is equipping youth—our future leaders—with the tools, mentoring, and consistent support to thrive.

Vicki holds certifications in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and trauma-informed yoga for youth. She’s been recognized by the Ford Foundation Role Model award and two Congressional commendations, among others. Throughout her career, she’s raised over $30 million to fuel social change.

A Pittsburgh native and football fan, Vicki loves hiking with her husband and their rescue pup. She cherishes her son and family in Columbus, Atlanta, and California. She brings her whole self—as resource builder and purpose-driven partner—to building a vibrant future for the Coachella Valley, together.
