febrero 19, 2025 A Night to Remember Sharing the magic of live theater At Friends of the Children - Coachella Valley, we believe in the transformative power of new experiences. Attending live performances is a rare opportunity for many of the families in our program, which made our recent trip to see Kodo at the McCallum Theatre all the more special. Watching our youth arrive in their finest outfits, beaming with pride, was a reminder of how special these moments are. Kodo, the world-renowned Japanese taiko drumming ensemble, delivers electrifying performances filled with powerful rhythms and intricate storytelling. But the night was about more than just entertainment. It was an opportunity for our youth to be immersed in a new cultural tradition and feel inspired by the dedication and skill of the performers. Experiences like these foster lifelong learning and curiosity. We’re grateful for the chance to provide this opportunity and look forward to many more moments that open doors and expand horizons for the youth we serve.
