Caring for Caregivers

When we support a child, we support their entire family. Our 2Gen approach focuses not just on youth, but also on the caregivers who walk alongside them through challenges, milestones, and everyday moments.

Thanks to the generosity of Old Town Nails Salon, ten parents of our program youth recently received complimentary manicures or pedicures. A simple but meaningful act of care for those who give so much to their children.

For many of the families we serve, self-care often falls to the bottom of the list. This spa experience offered a rare moment to feel seen, appreciated, and reminded that their well-being matters too. The experience provided a quiet pause for rest and reflection, especially powerful for parents working hard to create stability and opportunity for their families.

Community partnerships like this help us build meaningful support systems that reach beyond the classroom and the clubhouse. We are incredibly grateful to Old Town Nails for their generosity and for recognizing the importance of uplifting entire families. When we care for caregivers, we create a stronger foundation for the children we serve—and a brighter future for the Coachella Valley.
