Tour de Friends
Riding Toward Healthy Habits
Inspired by the energy of the Tour de Palm Springs, we brought youth and staff together for our own “Tour de Friends” at Palm Desert Civic Center Park. What started as a bike ride quickly became an afternoon of connection and movement. Kids rode alongside their mentors while talking about staying active and making healthy choices.
The ride was more than just fun. By bringing movement and wellness into mentoring relationships, we help youth build habits that support both their physical and emotional well-being.
We’re grateful to Salvation Army Cathedral City for donating nine children’s bikes, making sure every youth could join, and to Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control for providing water bottles to keep everyone hydrated.
Now that everyone has what they need, we can’t wait for the next ride.
