Science Sparks
Keeping Curiosity Alive All Summer Long
Summer is a season for play, rest, and fresh air, but it doesn't have to mean a break from learning. That's the idea behind our brand new Science Sparks Club, a hands-on STEM program at our Clubhouse where youth and their Friends come together for crafts and experiments that feel a whole lot more like fun than school.
Our professional mentors make sure the kids stay curious, engaged, and excited about the world around them, especially during the summer when so many learning opportunities slow down.
This month they dove in with both hands. They made invisible ink, watching messages appear and disappear like a magic trick they got to be in on. They built a balloon race track and put their designs to the test, picking up a little about force and motion along the way. The Clubhouse has been full of laughter and the kind of "what if we try this" energy that makes real learning happen.
There's something special about watching kids discover that science isn't just a subject in a classroom. It's the world around them.
Science Sparks is just getting started. We can't wait to see what our Friends and youth dream up next.
